Blues Hockey Players and Parents,

As you know, last week the River's Edge lost power for multiple days and will need to start with a fresh surface. The current estimate as communicated by Ryan Devlin is 1 September at the earliest. Given that uncertainty, we will be postponing tryouts from this week, 18 and 20 August to new dates and times in early September during what would have been normal practice times.

UPDATED

Tryout dates and times will be tentatively scheduled as follows:

Tuesday 8 September 2020 4:15 pm at the River's Edge

Wednesday 9 September 2020  8:00 pm at the River's Edge

If for some reason the ice is not in by the 8th, we will adjust accordingly but I am optimistic the River's Edge team can get us back to hockey quickly!

The same procedures as previously described still apply for tryouts. Please bring a light and dark jersey with a number.

Safeport Training

If your player will turn 17 or older during the season they are required to complete the Safesport training through USA Hockey. This is free training and very important to our organization. It will be required that you complete this training before you start practice. (Tentative Start date of 15 September) This is required every season no matter which team you choose to play with.

Parent meeting:

We will hold  parent meetings on the same nights as tryouts. During the parent meetings we will follow the agenda below:

- Introduce Coaching Staff and Admin Staff

- Season Cost overview

- Equipment, Apparel, etc.

-Provide required document packets

- COVID, Locker room, practice, etc.

- Update on MHSHL

- Q&A

To support social distancing, we ask that one parent per player attends their session and we will be splitting families by incoming class to reduce the number required to attend at once.

Freshman & Sophomore Families: 8 September @ 6:00pm

Junior & Senior Families: 9 September @ 6:00 pm
