Hello Hockey Parents,

I am very excited to announce that we will be offering an Advanced Hockey for the second time beginning next Monday June 5th! This will be a six week class to keep it on schedule with the other Learn to Skate classes. We will be capping the class at a maximum of 30 students, so it will be first come first serve. The goal of this class is to provide hockey skaters with the opportunity to improve their skating skills and power beyond what is currently offered in our Learn to Skate Program. Here is some information about the new class.

Description of Class:

Advanced Hockey continues to work on the foundational skating skills needed for hockey while focusing particularly on maintaining those skills in a faster paced environment. This class emphasizes speed, power, and agility and will begin to incorporate puck control skills. Prerequisite: Skater needs to meet at least one of the following criteria: 1) Currently enrolled in Learn to Skate Hockey  4 or above, 2) a member of a squirt, pee wee, or bantam hockey team, or 3) recommendation by one of the instructors—either  Bobby Nadeau (bobbynado@yahoo.com) or Taija Robinson (taijarobinson12@augustana.edu)

Dates:

Mondays from 5:45-6:45

6/5, 6/12, 6/19, 6/26, 6/10, 6/17

Location: River’s Edge Ice Rink (700 W. River Dr., Davenport, IA)

Price:

$88 for Davenport residents

$114 for non-residents

Multiple child discount of 10%

Additional Registration Information:

To enroll in this class you must be a Learn to Skate Member. Unfortunately, USA Hockey memberships are not valid at this time. To register as a Learn to Skate member go to the site: https://www.learntoskateusa.com/LTSRegistration and register your skater with Learn to Skate USA. The cost is an annual fee of $17.25

Current membership is valid from June 30th, 2016-June 30th, 2017

New membership will be needed from June 30th, 2017-June 30th 2018
