In an effort to help members in these age classifications ‘tune up’ for the upcoming travel team evaluations and begin to get their skating legs back under them, the QCHA will be offering “Conditioning Skate” times for PeeWee (BY’05 &’06) and Squirt (BY’07 &’08) players the last two weeks of August where we were able to secure some ice.

During the conditioning skates, there will be a mixture of some skating drills constructed by QCHA PeeWee and Squirt travel team coaches followed up by open skating and scrimmage time for players.

The times offered are as such:

• Tuesday, August 22 on the ice at 6:00pm (50 minutes)
• Saturday, August 26 on the ice at 1:00pm (1 hour 20 minutes)
• Tuesday, August 29 on the ice at 6:00pm (50 minutes)
• Thursday, August 31 on the ice at 5:45pm (50 minutes)

It is the registrant’s choice to attend 1, 2, 3, or 4 skates but the cost to participate is a flat $40 fee.  Relative to Stick & Puck pricing, with the instruction offered at these sessions this is an investment with value.  Note that to be eligible to skate at these times, a skater will have to be registered for the QCHA PeeWee or Squirt travel team evaluations (tryouts) once that process becomes available in the coming days.
