TRY HOCKEY FOR FREE

QCHA has three Try Hockey for Free events planned this year for players that are interested in checking out what hockey is all about.  These events are geared for ages 5-9.  No skating experience is necessary.

  • Girls Try Hockey for Free, October 7th; 12:30-1:30pm
  • Try Hockey for Free (Co-ed), November 4th; 2:00-3:00pm
  • Try Hockey for Free (Co-ed), March 3rd; 3:00-4:00pm

Please plan to arrive at least 30-45 minutes prior to check in and to get fitted with equipment.

What to bring:  We encourage those who have access to equipment, to please bring it.  If you do not have any equipment, you will need to bring:

  • A loose-fitting pair of sweatpants or snow pants
  • A pair of gloves (they don't need to be hockey gloves; mittens are fine)
  • A helmet (a bike helmet will work!)
  • A smile!!

What will be provided:  We have skates and a limited amount of equipment available for you to borrow.  We will have volunteers available on hand to properly fit the equipment to your child.

On-Ice Experience:  We will have plenty of coaches on hand to give your child a great youth hockey experience, they will get an opportunity to learn some basic skills of youth hockey and enjoy their first time.
