1. Email your USAH# to the Registrar, arndt8127@mchsi.com.  (If you entered your volunteer/coaching USAH# in your child's hockey registration, you do not need to email it)
2. The Registrar will submit your name, USAH# and email address to Verified Volunteers.  DO NOT USE THE LINK ON THE MWAHA WEBSITE
3. Verified Volunteers will then send the volunteer an email from TheAdvocates@VerifiedVolunteers.com if you are requested to complete a background check.
4. After receiving this email, you will need to log in or create an account on their website to submit the information.  As you are submitting the application, you will be offered a chance to have your background screen made available to other US Olympic Committee sports which require it (basically every sport except American Football).  This fee is only $3.99 and can actually save the applicant money as even though MWAHA pays for the hockey background screens ($16/screening) other sports they coach with can charge them for each background per sport.  This fee is NOT mandatory, but I wanted you to know up front what that fee is for if you choose to partake.
5. Once the information is submitted, you will get another email from TheAdvocates@VerifiedVolunteers.com advising you that you have been cleared.  You will also be able to login to your account and check to see what was verified.

So to recap, all volunteers and coaches need to send the registrar their USAH#.  The registrar will submit the information to Verified Volunteers to start the screening process.  Verified Volunteers will then send you an email with links and instructions on how to complete the screening.  If you have any questions, please contact the Registrar at arndt8127@mchsi.com
