QCHA Board Elections March 6th at 6:00pm

If you wish to submit your name and bio for one of the open positions, the deadline is February 27th at 6:00pm

The following positions will be open for upcoming Board elections on March 6th.

  • President
  • Treasurer
  • Director House League
  • Director at Large - Asset Manager
  • Director High School

 

The job description for each position and the approximate amount of time spent for each position is listed below.  Please refer to the bylaws for more information about each position and the voting process.  If you wish to submit your name for one of these positions, the deadline to submit your name and a bio is February 27th at 6:00pm to matt.rosebrough@gmail.com.  Candidates will be posted on February 28th to the membership.  Elections will be held at the River's Edge on March 6th.

President       50-80 hours per month

Responsible for overall health of the hockey association as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.  Provides oversight, guidance, and direction on matters related to finances, discipline, and administrative issues related to running a nonprofit organization.  Must ensure compliance with all USA Hockey, US Center for SafeSport, Midwest Amateur Hockey Association, and QCHA policies, procedures and bylaws.  Leads Executive board.

 

Treasurer       20-40 hours per month

Responsible for compliance with all aspects of the financial reporting of the association.  Provides monthly reports to the board of directors, coordinates treasurers for all travel and select teams, ensures proper accounting of individual team finances, and has primary duties in establishing the annual QCHA budget.  Accounting background is strongly advised.  Member on Executive Board.

 

Director of House League  25-60 hours per month

Responsible for house league and select teams within house league.  Selects coaches for each level, coordinates practices, officials, and runs both the holiday and year end house league tournaments.  Must evaluate requests such as play-up, Select team structure, and miscellaneous requests of the membership.  This position interacts with the largest portion of our membership and serves as an ambassador for the sport of hockey at the QCHA.  Candidates must be prepared to spend a majority of their volunteer hours at the rink.

 

Director at Large-Asset Manager  10-15 hours per month

Responsible for ordering equipment including jerseys, socks, pucks, OG sets and any other items that are necessary for the association at any given time.  Periodically runs an equipment sale of donated hockey gear to assist families entering the sport with proceeds benefitting the association.  Other projects and duties as assigned.  Coordinates and assists with the annual golf fundraiser for the QCHA.

 

Director of High School                              15-40 hours per month

Acts as the liaison between the QCHA and the Blues high school team.  Responsible for the overall management of the high school team including finances, discipline, MHSHL coordination, parent communication, and provides oversight of support staff for the high school team.  Point of main contact for the head coach.  Periodically communicates with other teams in the league on a variety of matters.  The position requires regular attendance at high school games.
